Care Outside of the Classroom
Our school was founded by two brothers who grew up in a household where many values were taught. Among those was the value of respecting your fellow man and honoring those who served our great country in the Armed Services. Another value that was integrated in their daily lives was that of service to those who are less privileged that you are.
One of the brothers, Vito, served as an Army Officer in Saudi Arabia and Korea before opening the child care business.
The values that the two brothers share are fully woven into the fabric of the school. As a result the brothers have initiated and participate in a number of activities designed to give back to the wonderful community of Fanwood and beyond.
We have been a part of the Fanwood community for over 16 years and the following list of initiatives are some of the ways our wonderful families along with the staff and management at The Wonder Years Academy have helped the community over the years.

Annual sponsor of the Family Fun Run
in Fanwood - a community-based initiative that raises funds for recreational programs for Fanwood children.
A founding member of our school established Buddy Ball in the town of Westfield, NJ. Buddy Ball
is a program for children with special needs. It provides them the opportunity to enjoy and participate in sports, particularly the social structure and fun of playing baseball.
In 2017 during the holiday season we collected over 130 toys
for underprivileged youth and have collected thousands over the years.
Each Thanksgiving we collect food for Veterans
who have served our country and do not have family to support them.
Each year we collect dozens
of coats and countless pairs of mittens and gloves for children without them during recent cold winter months.
In recent years we have collected and distributed many thousands of pounds of clothes for families across the state of New Jersey.
